Course Description:
World Geography: This class is offered to both freshmen and sophomores. We start out covering the basics of geography such as the continents, oceans, and planets before covering both the physical and human geography of all continents. Each student will also learn how to correctly use an atlas and locate all countries in North America, South America, Europe, and the Middle East. The students will also be expected to memorize and locate all 50 states, the major mountain ranges of the world, and the major rivers of the world. Each Monday this class will watch an episode of the Amazing Race to help them better understand the human geography of the world in terms of race, language, and religion of various regions around the globe. |
